Stat Attack
- Palace have lost one of their last five league meetings against Man Utd (W3, D1, L1).
- Man Utd have won of their last five league visits to Palace (W1, D2, L2).
- Victory would see Palace win three consecutive meetings against Man Utd for the first time ever.
- All four of Palace’s league goals this season came in the second half.
- Man Utd have won one of their last seven away trips to London-based teams in the Premier League (W1, D1, L5).
Prediction
Having dug deep for a draw against Leicester last weekend in a game of two halves when it came to clinical finishing, Palace delivered another gritty performance to beat QPR in midweek Carabao Cup action in another positive display.
Man Utd comfortably beat Southampton and Barnsley in the past week by an aggregate score of 10-0, but they need to stay grounded because it is easy to get either cocky or complacent so more clinical quality and control would be welcome.
Palace though did the double over Man Utd last season without conceding but I don’t see that happening here, yet if Oliver Glasner’s Eagles can avoid defensive errors and continue to press with intensity then they could snatch something.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Manchester United
