Crystal Palace host Leicester City at Selhurst Park as both teams chase a first league win of the season.
Locked on one point apiece in 16th and 15th positions respectively, Palace and Leicester know that a win would see either team definitely stay out of the relegation zone.
Team News
Trevoh Chalobah, Maxence Lacroix and Eddie Nketiah could make their debuts for Palace following deadline day moves.
Matheus Franca (rib) and Adam Wharton (groin) are doubts but Chadi Riad (knee) and Rob Holding (fitness) remain sidelined.
Leicester will be without loan forward, Odsonne Edouard who is ineligible to face his parent club.
Jakub Stolarczyk and Patson Daka (both ankle) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Palace host Leicester on Saturday 14 September in a 3pm BST kick-off at Selhurst Park, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Crystal Palace are winless in seven of their last eight meetings against Leicester (W1, D3, L4).
- Leicester are unbeaten in four of their last seven visits to Palace (W1, D3, L3).
- Two of Palace’s last three meetings against Leicester ended in a 2-1 result, with both teams taking one win apiece from those two particular fixtures.
- No Palace player produced more shots on target in their opening three league matches than Eberechi Eze (5).
- Leicester have conceded first in each of their last four league matches (D1, L3).
Prediction
Although this season has been quite a slow start for Palace who many expected to build upon their late-season form of last campaign, they now need to be more consistent with the same second-half quality seen in their comeback draw at Chelsea.
Leicester simply cost themselves a potential draw against Aston Villa through poor marking of the Villains’ two goals, as they otherwise looked solid in attack but were simply outclassed on the day.
Both teams therefore need to find more consistency but if Leicester can deliver their solid defensive play, I can see them snatching a draw here.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Leicester
Result: Crystal Palace 2-2 Leicester
