Crystal Palace have signed defender, Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea on a season-long loan.
Chalobah hasn’t been part of Enzo Maresca’s plans at Chelsea for this season and following lengthy negotiations over his future, Chalobah accepted a loan move to Palace for the remainder of 2024-25 season.
Speaking about his decision to join the Eagles on loan, Chalobah commented: “I’m delighted to join an ambitious club like Crystal Palace.
“I know some of the boys in the squad well and I’m looking forward to playing alongside them in front of the amazing support at Selhurst Park.”
Chairman, Steve Parish added: “Trevoh is a talented young man and when the opportunity to bring him to Palace for the season arose, we were determined to seize it.
“I’m delighted that he has joined us on loan, and we believe he will be a great addition.”
Chalobah began his career at Chelsea where he came through their youth academy to make his debut as an unused substitute in their 2017-18 FA Cup Final victory over Manchester United.
He went on to spend the following two seasons on loan at Ipswich then Huddersfield with three goals in 82 total appearances, before he netted twice in 30 appearances on loan at Lorient in 2020-21 season.
Chalobah eventually made his Chelsea debut in August 2021 in their UEFA Super Cup victory over Villarreal on penalties, and has since managed five goals in 80 appearances.
