2024-25 Sky Bet Championship: Week Four – Sunday

Sheffield United meet Watford in a heavyweight Championship clash at Bramall Lane.

Victory would see Sheffield Utd climb to eighth in the table, whilst Watford can reclaim second with a win.

Team News

Jamie Shackleton is awaiting his Sheffield Utd debut after recovering from a knee injury.

Femi Seriki (leg) and Tom Davies (fitness) remain sidelined.

Watford could hand loan signing, Daniel Jebbison a start against his former team, with the forward having left the Blades for Bournemouth this summer.

Imran Louza (leg) is still ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Sheffield Utd host Watford at 3pm BST on Sunday 1 September at Bramall Lane, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Prediction

Although several regulars were rested in Utd’s Carabao Cup exit at Barnsley, Chris Wilder should be concerned about how leaky his defence still is, which seems a deep-rooted issue in this team from last season into this campaign.

Watford though aren’t exactly better but they do seem to have momentum with an unbeaten winning start to the season in all competitions, whilst their attack has been quite a handful with such a strong intensity.

Goals therefore are surely on the cards here despite the contrastable recent head-to-head records, so I am expecting a strong fight and a draw might be a reasonably fair outcome.

Prediction: Sheffield United 1-1 Watford
