2024-25 Premier League: Week Three – Forest vs Wolves

Nottingham Forest meet Wolves at the City Ground in a Midlands derby.

Victory could put Forest into the top-four until at least Sunday, whilst Wolves can move out of the relegation zone with a win.

Ryan Yates could return for Forest after he missed their Carabao Cup exit against Newcastle on penalties, due to illness.

Danilo (ankle) remains absent.

Wolves will welcome Nelson Semedo back from his three-match ban.

Sasa Kalajdzic and Enso Gonzalez (both ACL) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Forest host Wolves at City Ground in a 3pm BST kick-off on Saturday 31 August, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

Although losing on penalties to Newcastle might be tough to digest, Forest did incredibly well to get that far in a gutsy display after an awful start but they need to take heart and apply the positives on the pitch in this game.

Wolves meanwhile responded to their second-half horror collapse against Chelsea with a clinical Carabao Cup win over Burnley, so hopefully they can properly kick-start their league campaign now with a more solid performance.

If Wolves can indeed do that then I can imagine them getting something given that they’re Forest’s Achilles heel in the Premier League and this could be another cagey battle at the City Ground.

Prediction: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Wolves

Result: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Wolves
