2024-25 UEFA Conference League Play-Offs: Second Leg – Servette vs Chelsea

Servette host Chelsea at Stade de Geneve in the second leg of their 2024-25 Conference League Play-Off.

Trailing 2-0 on aggregate after the first leg, Servette need to score at least three goals to overturn their deficit, whilst a 2-0 draw would send the tie to extra time and potentially penalties.

Chelsea meanwhile will qualify if they avoid defeat or lose by one or two goal margins at maximum.

Team News

Victory Beniangba is ruled out for Servette with a muscle injury.

Chelsea will again be without midfielder, Romeo Lavia after he missed their Premier League win at Wolves with a hamstring injury.

Reece James (hamstring) remains ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Servette host Chelsea at Stade de Geneve on Thursday 29 August at 8:30pm CEST (7:30pm UK Time), live on Chelsea TV in the UK.

Prediction

Having wasted their chances at Stamford Bridge in the first leg, Servette know that they must score first here if want to turn their deficit around so more composure is needed here.

Chelsea though seem to have found their sharp attacking edge now with a ruthless second-half at Wolves, but the first half showed how vulnerable their defence can still be at times.

I however don’t see them losing this given their firepower but the first goal could be key for mental momentum.

Prediction: Servette 1-2 Chelsea

Result: Servette 2-1 Chelsea (Chelsea win 3-2 on aggregate)
