Bromley have signed midfielder, Cameron Congreve on a season-long loan from Swansea City.
Congreve’s loan switch comes after he made 18 senior appearances in all competitions for Swansea across 2021-22 & 22-23 seasons, but he failed to make a single-first-team appearance last season.
Swansea consequently decided to send him out on loan for regular first-team football, with the midfielder now part of Bromley’s squad for their maiden season in the EFL after the Ravens won promotion via National League Play-Offs.
Addressing Congreve’s loan move, Swansea wished him well for this season.
“Everyone at Swansea City wishes Cameron well during his loan spell at Hayes Lane.”
Congreve has 11 international caps for Wales, having represented them at Under-18, 19 and 21 levels, during which he managed five goals in total for his country at U18 and U19s level.
Bromley meanwhile have unveiled nine scholars at Under-18s level for the new season, with Harry Haines joining the goalkeeping selection.
Archie Cassidy and Charlie Paye will be part of the defence, whilst the midfield scholars are made up of; Brody Cockerill, Alfie Hilden, Jedd Hobbs, Yuvi Mann and George Rees.
Sam Hards is the only striker to be given a scholarship for the U18s team, with the club describing him as “an electric striker, blessed with great pace and a desire to get in behind opposition defences to score goals.”
Bromley also praised the youngster for his “very humble and hardworking” attitude, coupled with “great work rate out of possession, constantly willing to press and regain possession for the team.”
