Newcastle United have unveiled their new third kit for 2024-25 season.

The new kit features an reimagination of their ‘NUFC’ logo of 1983-88 seasons against ‘a clean, minimalist aesthetic and a crisp white base.’

The sleeves and side panels contains accents of mint green to add a retro feel, and Adidas’ three strips will adjourn the shoulders.

Newcastle’s Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Silverstone has welcomed the third kit design, which displays a deep awareness of the club’s DNA.

“Adidas has a deep understanding of Newcastle United’s DNA, and that is clear to see in the design of our new third kit.

“From the use of the club’s nostalgic 1980s crest, through to a design evoking Sir Bobby Robson’s team at the turn of the millennium, it is an innovative approach to a classic kit.”

Newcastle will wear the new third kit in their pre-season friendly against Yokohama F. Marinos on Saturday 3 August in Tokyo, Japan.

Adidas Design Director, Inigo Turner explained that a desire to mix classic and contemporary was behind the design, as he added: “The 2024/25 third kit is a perfect blend of classic and contemporary design.

“We wanted to tap into the raw energy and nostalgia of the ’90s, a period synonymous with both adidas EQT and the re-emergence of Newcastle United’s iconic presence on the pitch.

“This kit is a love letter to that era, blending classic design elements with a modern streetwear edge that resonates with fans of all generations.”

Newcastle’s third kit is now available at shop.newcastleunited.com or at the official club store at St James’ Park.
