2023-24 UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals: Second Leg – PSG vs Borussia Dortmund

PSG look to overturn a 1-0 deficit against Borussia Dortmund at Parc des Princes in the second leg of their 2023-24 UEFA Champions League semi-final.

Trailing from the first leg in Dortmund, PSG know that only victory would see them advance to a second Champions League Final.

Dortmund meanwhile know that a win or draw would see them prevail and reach a third Champions League Final in their history.

Prediction

Having produced a wasteful performance away in the first leg amidst a sloppy defensive lapse which was punished, PSG now need to regroup at home and try to get the first goal otherwise they could kiss goodbye to any chances of reaching the final.

Dortmund meanwhile have lost each of their two previous Champions League trips to PSG by 2-0 results so they really need to be clinical but dig in defensively, especially if want to protect and build upon that lead but PSG’s home atmosphere will be a tough test.

First goal will be key because if PSG can score first, I fancy them to go on and win but if Dortmund can get ahead, I wouldn’t be surprised if they cling on for a draw and advance and that wouldn’t be too much of a stretch if can defend as resolutely as they did at home.

Prediction: PSG 1-1 Borussia Dortmund

Result: PSG 0-1 Borussia Dortmund (Borussia Dortmund win 2-0 on aggregate)
