2023-24 Premier League: Week 33 – West Ham vs Fulham

West Ham seek to keep up their chase of European qualification in a London derby against Fulham at London Stadium.

Victory would lift West Ham up to sixth in the table, whilst Fulham can go 12th with a win.

Konstantinos Mavropanos is a doubt for West Ham after he suffered a knock in their Europa League defeat at Bayer Leverkusen.

Jarrod Bowen (knock), Kalvin Phillips (hamstring) and Alphonse Areola (groin) remain absent.

Fulham have no fresh injury concerns to report after their defeat at home to Newcastle, although Armando Broja could start on the bench after he suffered a minor knock in training.

When is Kick-Off?

West Ham host Fulham at London Stadium on Sunday 14 April at 2pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

Having battled bravely for over 80 minutes against Leverkusen, West Ham will be disappointed to have conceded two late goals which surely has ended their hopes of European glory but they can’t drop focus because the fight to qualify for next season’s European competitions is tight.

Fulham meanwhile were wasteful in their loss to Newcastle amidst dominant spells but that defeat in-turn puts the pressure off them here, as they are no longer in the fight realistically for European qualification so I would like to see them relax here and look to show more quality in their end product.

West Ham though are likely to rotate and have a solid home record over the Cottagers so won’t make this easy, but if Fulham can show their recent quality and start well then I can see them nicking a draw but Moyes’ Hammers can be difficult to beat at home.

Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Fulham

Result: West Ham 0-2 Fulham
