Wales have no fresh injury concerns to report following their win over Finland in the Play-Off semi-finals.

Poland will be without Matty Cash after he suffered a hamstring injury in their Play-Off semi-final win over Estonia.

When is Kick-Off?

Wales host Poland at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday 26 March at 7:45pm GMT, live on Viaplay Sports 2, S4C and BBC iPlayer in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • This is Wales’ first tie against Poland in any UEFA Euro Qualifying campaign, although they have previously met in World Cup qualifiers and UEFA Nations League.
  • Poland have won four of their five previous visits to Wales in all competitions (W4, L1).
  • Wales have lost each of their last two home matches against Poland by 1-0 result, in a friendly in February 2009 then in September 2022 in UEFA Nations League.
  • Wales have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four matches in all competitions (W2, D2).
  • Poland have won just two of their last eight away matches in all competitions (W2, D2, L4).

Prediction

Unbeaten in nine of their last 11 matches during which they’ve scored in six of their last seven at home, Wales certainly will need to deliver another clinical display which blew Finland apart but this time be more resilient defensively if get in front.

Poland meanwhile are just as dangerous goals-wise as Wales but on the road, their away form has been poor in the last two years yet they do have players like Karol Swiderski and Robert Lewandowski who can cause huge issues up front.

Wales though have little pressure as underdogs but given Poland’s strong form on Welsh soil, I can see the Polish breaking Welsh hearts but this should be closer than many might expect if Poland’s poor away form rears its head here.

Prediction: Wales 1-2 Poland

Result: Wales 0-0 Poland (Poland win 5-4 on penalties)
