Rob Page has named an 28-man squad for Wales’ UEFA Euro 2024 Play-Off Semi-Final against Finland on 21 March.
Tom Lockyer is ruled out in defence as he continues his recovery from a cardiac arrest suffered during Luton’s Premier League match at Bournemouth, which led that game to be abandoned.
Lockyer’s place in the squad has been taken by Wycombe Wanderers’ Joe Low whilst Bournemouth’s Chris Mepham is back in the squad, having missed their 1-1 draw against Turkey in November 2023 due to suspension as Sunderland’s Niall Huggins misses out due to a knee injury.
In goal, Wayne Hennessey, Danny Ward and Tom King have kept their places but Sheffield United’s Adam Davies has been added to the selection.
Dylan Levitt, Charlie Savage, Aaron Ramsey and Wes Burns are all back in the midfield selection after varying lengths of absence due to injury, as Joe Morrell plus forward, Tom Bradshaw miss out due to injury.
Ramsey however is still recovering from a calf injury which puts his involvement in doubt despite nearing a return to full fitness.
Wales will host Finland in Cardiff on 21 March in their UEFA Euro 2024 Play-Off semi-final, where victory would set up a Play-Off Final against Poland or Estonia at home on 26 March otherwise they will host the other losing semi-finalist in a friendly.
