2023-24 Sky Bet Championship: Week 31 – Sunday

Coventry continue their push for the Championship Play-Offs against Millwall at the CBS Arena.

Victory would see Coventry climb to sixth in the table, whilst Millwall can move up to 16th with a win.

Millwall will welcome Adam Mayor into contention for his debut, after he was suspended for their 1-0 loss at Hull.

When is Kick-Off?

Coventry host Millwall at 12pm GMT on Sunday 11 February at CBS Arena, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Coventry are unbeaten in five of their last seven league meetings against Millwall (W4, D1, L2).
  • Millwall have won two of their last five visits to Coventry (W2, L3).
  • Both teams have won their last two clashes at CBS Arena by 1-0 result.
  • Coventry have kept just one clean sheet in their last five home matches (W2, D3), which came in a 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in December 2023.
  • Millwall have scored in just one of their last four away matches (W1, D1, L2), which came in a 1-0 victory at Bristol City in January 2024.

Prediction

After their dominant win over Sheffield Wednesday in midweek with a ruthless second-half display, Coventry certainly seem to have responded strongly to having seen their 10-match unbeaten league run ended at Norwich last weekend.

Mark Robins’ Sky Blues though are still leaky at the back which Norwich exploited clinically in that last league game, although Sheffield Wednesdy did punish a slow reaction to a loose ball which should give Millwall confidence that they can get at least one goal.

Joe Edwards’ Lions however need to sort out their own defensive issues because they are capable of better results, especially if can get their own attack firing because the likes of Zian Flemming, Tom Bradshaw and Kevin Nisbet should be delivering more than they’ve done this season.

I however can’t see Coventry losing this such is their attacking quality and momentum, although Millwall could pose some difficulties if can defensively keep players like Callum O’Hare and Haji Wright quiet.

Prediction: Coventry 2-1 Millwall

Result: Coventry 2-1 Millwall
