BBC and ITV Announce Fifth Round TV Picks in 2023-24 FA Cup

BBC and ITV have announced their broadcast picks across the Fifth Round of 2023-24 FA Cup.

BBC1 will televise Manchester United’s trip to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Wednesday 28 February, with kick-off at 7:45pm GMT.

That televised match will directly clash with Brighton’s trip to Wolves on BBC iPlayer which too will commence at 7:45pm that evening.

Newcastle’s tricky visit to Blackburn will be broadcast on BBC1 on Tuesday 27 February at 7:45pm, with build-up coverage commencing at 7:30pm.

BBC iPlayer’s coverage of Bournemouth’s home tie against Leicester on BBC iPlayer that same evening will be a 7:30pm kick-off at the Vitality Stadium.

ITV will commence their coverage with the opening tie of the round as Coventry host National League South’s Maidstone United at the CBS Arena, which has been set for a 7:45pm kick-off on Monday 26 February.

Luton’s tie at home to reigning champions, Manchester City will be the first of two matches broadcast on ITV1, with the clash at Kenilworth Road set for 8pm on Tuesday 27 February.

ITV1 will then air Liverpool’s home meeting against Southampton on Wednesdy 28 February, with kick-off confirmed for 8pm at Anfield.

Chelsea’s home tie against Leeds at Stamford Bridge will take place on Wednesday 28 February after both teams beat Aston Villa and Plymouth respectively in their replays, with kick-off confirmed for 7:30pm.

Two Fourth Round replays have been picked for broadcast with BBC1 broadcasting Plymouth’s clash at home to Leeds on Tuesday 6 February, with kick-off at Home Park scheduled for 7:45pm GMT.

ITV had first pick of the replays and have selected Chelsea’s trip to Villa after the Premier League pair drew 0-0 in West London, with the replay confirmed for 8pm on Wednesday 7 February live on ITV1 – which is the first replay on ITV under the current deal to not air on ITV4.
