Hull City entertain Norwich City at MKM Stadium in the race for the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs.
Victory will see Hull climb back into sixth ahead of the weekend’s games, whilst Norwich can move up to eighth with a win.
Team News
Tyler Morton is available for Hull after his red card during their New Year’s Day loss at Sheffield Wednesday was rescinded upon appeal.
Loan signing, Fabio Carvalho could make his debut but Ruben Vinagre (hamstring), Liam Delap and Jaden Philogene (both knee) remain absent.
Adama Traore and Jean Michael Seri (both international duty) remain absent.
Norwich could be without Grant Hanley after he suffered a back injury during their 1-1 draw at home to Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup.
Adam Forshaw (illness) is a doubt after he missed training this week but could be fit enough for the bench.
When is Kick-Off?
Hull host Norwich at MKM Stadium on Friday 12 January at 8pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Hull have claimed eight points in their last seven meetings against Norwich (W2, D2, L3)
- Norwich are winless in their last six visits to Hull (D2, L4).
- Hull have kept just two clean sheets in their last eight meetings against Norwich.
- Aaron Connolly has scored in each of his last two league appearances at home for Hull (W2).
- Norwich have claimed four points from their last five away matches (W1, D1, L3).
Prediction
With just one win in their last four league matches and a FA Cup replay at Birmingham City to come, Hull know that they need to cut out their defensive mistakes because they’re still scoring but their defence has dropped at a time when play-off rivals are closing in.
Norwich meanwhile are without a win in their last four games in all competitions but have often kept their defence tight, with their two defeats in that run only by single-goal margins but they will be eageer to deliver a response to their scrappy FA Cup draw against Bristol Rovers.
This clash therefore comes at a key stage in the middle part of the season and if both teams play like they’ve done lately, it won’t be surprise if we see a draw.
Prediction: Hull 1-1 Norwich
Result: Hull 1-2 Norwich
