Mari Boya has joined Campos for the 2024 F3 season.
Boya enjoyed a progressive rookie campaign in F3 this year with MP Motorsport as he finished 17th in the driver standings with 29 points, including a third-placed finish in the Italian Sprint.
Next season however sees the Spaniard switch to Campos after he enjoyed a positive post-season test with the Spanish team.
Speaking about his decision to join Campos for his second season, Boya said: “I’m super happy to face this second season in FIA Formula 3 with Campos Racing.
“I’m motivated and confident, after my first contact with the team in the post-season tests. It’s a new stage that begins and I’m looking forward to getting started now and achieving the best possible results together.”
Campos’ Team Principal, Adrian Campos is “delighted” to sign Boya who will partner Oliver Goethe next season plus a yet unannounced teammate.
Campos also iterated his belief that Boya has the potential to improve and fight at the front as he explained: “In short, he is one of the most talented drivers on the grid.
“Despite the fact that this 2023 was his debut in the category, there were several glimpses of his quality that show that the best is yet to come, especially with more experience and kilometres of running.
“The post-season tests went quite well and the new year certainly promises to be even better than this one. Campos Racing has a long tradition of working with Spanish drivers with a great future ahead of them and Mari is a new chapter in this regard.”
F3 will kick off the new season in Bahrain from 29 February – 2 March with the campaign climaxing in Monza, Italy from 30 August – 1 September, whilst Boya and Campos’ home race falls across 21-23 June at Circuit de Barcelona, Catalunya, Spain.
