Brighton & Hove Albion continue their battle for a top-four spot against relegation-battling Burnley at AMEX Stadium.
Victory could see Brighton climb to fifth in the table if Manchester United lose elsewhere, whilst Burnley can move up to 18th position with a win.
Team News
Lewis Dunk and Mahmoud Dahoud will both be available for Brighton after the pair completed separate suspensions in their midweek win against Brentford.
Adam Webster (knock) could also return but Tariq Lamptey, Pervis Estupinan, Ansu Fati, Danny Welbeck (all muscle), Solly March and Julio Enciso (both knee) remain absent.
Burnley will be without Luca Koleosho after he suffered a serious knee injury in their midweek loss at Wolves.
Jordan Beyer (suspension) and Josh Cullen (knock) could return but Jack Cork (unspecified) and Lyle Foster (illness) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Brighton host Burnley in a 3pm GMT kick-off at AMEX Stadium on Saturday 9 December, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Brighton are unbeaten in five of their last six league meetings against Burnley (W2, D3, L1).
- Burnley are unbeaten in five Premier League trips to Brighton (W2, D3).
- Ex Burnley striker, Ashley Barnes was utilised as a substitute in their last two meetings against Brighton.
- Brighton’s Dunk has won 24 of his 34 aerial battles this season.
- Jordan Beyer has made more tackles than any other Burnley player this season (25).
Prediction
Having clinically fought back to beat Brentford in midweek after Jon Paul van Hecke conceded a sloppy penalty, Brighton can be confident coming into this game with their recent rut looking behind them and the return of Dunk in defence will only add more stability.
Burnley meanwhile will feel hard done to have not got anything at Wolves because they played well overall aside from a sloppy moment, which was ruthlessly punished but they come into this game with a solid top-flight away record against the Seagulls.
I however do see that record falling because if Brighton play like they did in midweek but with a tidier end product from start to finish, I can’t see Burnley’s defence keeping them out no matter how well James Trafford does with his excellent goalkeeping.
Prediction: Brighton 2-0 Burnley
Result: Brighton 1-1 Burnley
