Beth Mead has been recalled for England’s UEFA Women’s Nations League fixtures against Netherlands and Scotland.

Mead has been absent from the senior national team since she suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury whilst on club duty for Arsenal in November 2022, but has now gained regular game time for Wiegman to reintroduce her to the team

Mead’s call-up consequently meant that Jess Park is the only forward to miss out from October’s selection, with Rachel Daly, Lauren Hemp, Lauren James, Chloe Kelly and Alessia Russo having kept their spots in the squad.

Lucy Parker has been dropped in defence which otherwise remains unchanged with Lucy Bronze and Alex Greenwood amongst those to retain their places in the line-up.

In goal, Wiegman has retained Mary Earps, Hannah Hampton and Khiara Keating but Keating’s Manchester City teammate, Ellie Roebuck has been dropped.

Wiegman has opted not to make any midfield changes with Grace Clinton, Fran Kirby, Georgia Stanway, Ella Toone, Keira Walsh and Katie Zelem retained.

England will host Netherlands in a must-win clash at Wembley Stadium on Friday 1 December live on ITV4, because a draw coupled with a win for Belgium elsewhere or defeat will end their hopes of qualifying for the Finals and Olympics.

Victory over the Dutch however would set up a tense must-win trip to Scotland at Hampden Park on Tuesday 5 December live on BBC One, with both matches kicking off at 7:45pm GMT.

Here is the 23-player squad in full to face Netherlands and Scotland.

Goalkeepers – Mary Earps (Manchester United), Hannah Hampton (Chelsea), Khiara Keating (Manchester City)

Defence – Millie Bright (Chelsea), Lucy Bronze (Barcelona), Jess Carter (Chelsea), Niamh Charles (Chelsea), Alex Greenwood (Manchester City), Maya Le Tissier (Manchester United), Esme Morgan (Everton), Lotte Wubben-Moy (Arsenal)

Midfield – Grace Clinton (Tottenham Hotspur), Fran Kirby (Chelsea), Georgia Stanway (Bayern Munich), Ella Toone (Manchester United), Keira Walsh (Barcelona), Katie Zelem (Manchester United)

Forwards – Rachel Daly (Aston Villa), Lauren Hemp (Manchester City), Lauren James (Chelsea), Chloe Kelly (Manchester City), Beth Mead (Arsenal), Alessio Russo (Arsenal)
