
With the First Round of 2023-24 FA Cup almost over, here is a guide to the Second Round draw.
Having seen some surprise results from Aldershot’s dramatic 7-4 win at Swindon Town to eighth-tier Ramsgate defeating Woking to extend their fairytale run, the First Round has delivered plenty of goals and entertainment.
The 40 surviving teams however will now find themselves one step closer towards the Third Round and a potential money-spinning TV against elite opposition, as they once again do battle with no new teams entering at this stage of the competition.
Now, here is a guide to everything that you must know about the Second Round draw in 2023-24 FA Cup.
When is the Second Round Draw?
The Second Round draw in this season’s FA Cup will take place on Sunday 5 November, live on ITV1 upon completion of Chesterfield’s match against Portsmouth, with the draw set to get underway from circa 2:30pm.
How Many Teams will Feature in Second Round Draw?
Although only 40 teams will advance to the Second Round, up to 50 teams will officially be involved in the draw due to some ties having already been confirmed as needing a replay, whilst other ties will be played either during or after the draw takes place.

When is the Second Round Taking Place?
The Second Round wiill take place across weekend of 1-4 December live on BBC and ITV in the UK, with the winning teams awarded £67,000 in prize money and a place in the Third Round, where a potential glamour tie against Premier League or Championship opposition awaits.
