Norwich City face Blackburn Rovers at Carrow Road as both teams look to ignite their Championship play-off ambitions.
Victory will see Norwich move up to 12th in the table, whilst Blackburn can go tenth with a win.
Ben Gibson is ruled out for Norwich with a metatarsal injury.
Angus Gunn (leg), Jacob Sørensen (pelvis), Grant Hanley (Achilles), Ashley Barnes (knee) and Josh Sargent (ankle) remain absent.
Blackburn could again be without Sammie Szmodics after he missed their Carabao Cup loss at Chelsea with a knock.
Hayden Carter (hamstring/suspension) is ruled out whilst Aynsley Pears (foot), Dom Hyam (ankle), Sam Barnes (knee), Ryan Hedges (hamstring) and Sam Gallagher (calf) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Norwich host Blackburn at Carrow Road in a 12pm GMT kick-off on Sunday 5 November, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
- Norwich are unbeaten in five of their last six league meetings against Blackburn (W4, D1, L1).
- Blackburn have won one of their last five league visits to Norwich (W1, D2, L2).
- Norwich have never suffered consecutive league defeats at home to Blackburn.
- David Wagner’s Canaries have won just one of their last four home matches (W1, L3).
- Blackburn have lost three of their last five away matches in the Championship (W2, L3).
Despite scoring ten goals in their last seven matches, Norwich’s form has been poor with four points from those fixtures because their defence has simply been too leaky which somehow will take a huge turnaround here to keep a clean sheet despite their goalscoring ability.
Blackburn meanwhile haven’t exactly hit their own usual heights of last season but with three wins in their last four games, they can come here with confidence but can’t afford to be as sloppy as they were across the pitch last weekend in their league loss to Swansea.
Jon Dahl Tomasson’s Rovers however must put Wednesday’s Carabao Cup loss at Chelsea behind them because they were just outclassed, yet they will of taken valuable lessons and if they can get on the front foot then they should have the edge at what has been a tricky away trip for many years.
Prediction: Norwich 1-2 Blackburn
Result: Norwich 1-3 Blackburn
