Andrew Robertson is a doubt for Liverpool after he suffered a shoulder injury during Scotland’s loss to Spain.

Cody Gakpo (knee), Stefan Bajcetic (calf) and Diogo Jota (suspension) could be in contention for selection.

Caoimhin Kelleher (knee), Thiago Alcantara (hip) and Curtis Jones (suspension) remain absent.

Everton have no fresh injury concerns to report as Seamus Coleman (knee), Andre Gomes (calf) and Dele Alli (hip) remain absent.

Prediction

Slow starts seem to have become a regular part of Klopp’s Liverpool this season because they were certainly battered by a relentless Brighton at times, yet their attacking magic shone when their backs were against the wall but a 2-2 draw seemed a fair outcome given their defensive vulnerability.

Everton meanwhile have lacked consistency this season and although they clinically saw off Bournemouth with a strong performance, they are absolutely against the wall against a superior Liverpool where end product and robust defending will be their best hope of a result.

In fact, Everton probably need to score first because if not then I can see just one result brewing.

Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Everton

Result: Liverpool 2-0 Everton
