EFL have announced ball numbers for the Fourth Round draw of 2023-24 Carabao Cup.

The Fourth Round draw in this season’s Carabao Cup will take place tonight (27 September) upon the conclusion of Newcastle’s match against Manchester City, which is being televised live on Sky Sports across Main Event and Football channels.

Sky Sports’ Emma Saunders will conduct live coverage of the draw with ex England internationals, Daniel Sturridge and Izzy Christiansen drawing the balls out of the pot.

16 teams will be involved including reigning champions, Manchester United who have been handed ball number 4 in the draw.

Exeter City will be ball number 2 after the Grecians ended a 34-year wait for a first Fourth Round appearance, after they stunned Luton with a late winner at St James’ Park.

2004 winners, Middlesbrough have been placed as ball number 6 after they defeated 2012-13 runners-up, Bradford City 2-0 at Valley Parade.

Ipswich’s reward for coming from two goals down to eliminate Wolves at Portman Road in a five-goal thriller is ball number 3 in the pot.

Burnley, Mansfield and Port Vale meanwhile are the last of the seven confirmed teams and will take ball numbers, 1, 5 and 7 in the draw.

A further nine teams will be confirmed tonight, with Premier League leaders, Man City set to be ball number 16 if they beat last season’s runners-up, Newcastle at St James’ Park.

The winner of Brentford’s London derby clash against Arsenal will take ball number 11, whilst Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea could take ball number 12 if they beat Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton at Stamford Bridge.
