BBC and Sky Sports have announced their broadcast picks for the opening month of 2023-24 Women’s Super League.
BBC and Sky had already confirmed their opening day picks for 1 October but have now confirmed six further fixtures in total for broadcast across 6-8 and 14-15 October respectively, ahead of the second international break of the season.
Having already selected Manchester United’s trip to Aston Villa on the opening day, BBC2 will televise a blockbuster clash between two title contenders as Manchester City host Chelsea at Academy Stadium on 8 October in a 12:30pm BST kick-off.
Arsenal’s home clash against Aston Villa at Emirates Stadium on 15 October will take place at 2pm BST on Sunday 15 October, broadcast live on BBC One to round off the flagship British broadcaster’s opening three matches.
Sky meanwhile had already confirmed defending champions, Chelsea’s opening match of the season for broadcast on 1 October at 5:30pm BST, and will again air Emma Hayes’ Blues on 14 October in another London derby as they meet West Ham at Kingsmeadow.
That latter weekend will also see Sky Sports televise the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield on Sunday 15 October, with kick-off set for 4:30pm BST.
Sky will also broadcast a huge encounter at Leigh Sport Village on 6 October, as Manchester United face Arsenal in a 7:30pm BST kick-off in a battle between last season’s second and third-placed teams respectively.
Liverpool’s home clash against Aston Villa will also be broadcat on Sky Sports on 8 Octobr, with kick-off at Prenton Park set for 6:45pm BST.
