Five Key Pointers
- Given the high downforce nature of the Hungaroring, this circuit could well suit Ferrari who need a clean race if want to reignite their title hopes.
- Hungaroring is a circuit where it is difficult to overtake unless tyre degradation comes into play, which means that Qualifying could well be crucial in determining the likely race result.
- With Ricciardo back in the cockpit, AlphaTauri will be hoping that he can hit the ground running and provide Yuki Tsunoda with much-needed competition.
- Having seen a huge upturn in performance at Silverstone with their upgrades, McLaren will be hoping that they can once again fight Ferrari, Mercedes and Aston Martin to be best of the rest.
- If dry, Qualifying could throw some surprises with a tyre tweak as teams must run hard tyres only in Q1, followed by medium then soft tyres in Q2 and Q3 respectively.
