Hamed Traore has completed a permanent transfer from Sassuolo to Bournemouth on a five-year contract.

Traore initially joined on loan from Sassuolo on Deadline Day in January and has made seven appearances, but is currently sidelined with a foot injury although he is now back in training to build up his match fitness.

Bournemouth nevertheless has met conditions of the loan deal which led to activation of Traore’s permanent transfer, with the Ivory Coast international signing a five-year contract until June 2028.

Speaking about his decision to sign a permanent contract with Bournemouth following his positive loan spell, Troare commented: “Everyone has been really welcoming with me. Everything is good here and I’m just happy to be here.”

Traore added that he has one eye on next season whilst eager to make at least one further appearance in this campaign, as he concluded: “I’ve had a couple of injuries so I’m looking forward to next season, but right now I’m working hard and hope to come back before the end and help the team.”

Bournemouth’s Chief Executive, Neill Blake added that the club have “been really impressed” with Traore’s performance and are “delighted” to convert the loan deal into a permanent transfer.

Blake also praised Traore for his professionalism and adaption to the English game, as he added: “He’s shown he’s already capable of performing well at the top level, and we’re excited to see him develop even further.

“The permanent signing of Hamed is another mark of our ambition for the coming years, building on this season’s success to compete once again in the Premier League.”

Depending on how quickly he returns to full match fitness , Traore could feature in at least one of Bournemouth’s final matches of the season against Manchester United at home and away to Everton on 20 then 28 May respectively.
