Rotherham United meet Cardiff City at New York Stadium in a rearranged Sky Bet Championship clash.
Currently locked on 46 points apiece with Rotherham sat above Cardiff due to their better goal difference, victory would see either team climb above QPR into 18th position.
A draw would see both teams leapfrog QPR due to their better goal differences over Gareth Ainsworth’s Hoops.
Team News

Rotherham have no fresh injury concerns to report following their defeat at Bristol City but Peter Kioso could return, having been rested at the weekend due to an ongoing injury issue.
Conor Washington (knee), Bailey Wright (leg), Sean Morrison (thigh) and Grant Hall (hamstring) all remain ruled out.
Cardiff will be without first-choice goalkeeper, Ryan Allsop after he was ruled out with an adductor injury suffered during their draw against Stoke last weekend.
Rubin Colwill (unspecified) and Connor Wickham (hamstring) face late fitness tests.
Callum Robinson (hamstring), Ebou Adams (leg) and Jamilu Collins (ACL) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Rotherham host Cardiff in a 8pm BST kick-off at New York Stadium on Thursday 27 April, live on Sky Sports in the UK, after the originally untelevised tie was abandoned due to heavy rainfall early in the second-half last month.
Stat Attack
- Rotherham are winless in their last six meetings against Cardiff (D2, L4).
- Cardiff are unbeaten in four of their last five visits to Rotherham (W3, D1, L1).
- Rotherham have lost each of their last two home matches against Cardiff by 2-1 result.
- Matt Taylor’s Millers haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last seven home games (W3, D1, L3).
- Sory Kaba has scored in six of Cardiff’s last seven matches – except for their 1-0 home loss against Sunderland in April 2023.
Prediction
Currently locked on 46 points apiece and three points above the drop, this clash could go a long way in determining the fates of both Rotherham and Cardiff across the next 11 days.
Rotherham though cost themselves a point at Bristol City through poor marking of the Robins’ two goals despite having dominated the attacking aspect, amidst a series of wasteful finishing touches which can’t be repeated here if they’re to move closer towards survival.
Cardiff meanwhile look to have found their goalscoring boots in recent weeks with 10 goals in five of their last six games, so can afford to come into this game with belief that they can push for the win but they can’t afford to waste vital penalties at this stage of the season like they did against Stoke.
This clash therefore should see goals such is the leakiness within both defences but I am going for a score draw, particularly because Cardiff will have one eye on Sunday’s crunch home clash against Huddersfield because their final day trip to Burnley looks very difficult.
Prediction: Rotherham 1-1 Cardiff
