Premier League officials have confirmed six fixtures selected for broadcast in matchweek 37 of 2022-23 season.
Sky Sports will air two matches involving Newcastle during this matchweek, beginning with their crunch clash against Brighton & Hove Albion at St James’ Park at 7:30pm BST on Thursday 18 May.
The fixture had originally been selected for broadcast by BT Sport but was postponed due to Newcastle’s involvement in this season’s Carabao Cup Final, with BT consequently having opted to drop the game due to it being unable to be rescheduled in an unique slot.
Newcastle’s home clash against relegation battling Leicester meanwhile will conclude the penultimate round of this season’s fixture list, with the match being played at 8pm on Monday 22 May in the final Monday Night Football of the season.
Sky will also broadcast two decisive fixtures in the title race across that weekend, beginning with Arsenal’s trip to Nottingham Forest where Mikel Arteta’s Gunners could seal the title and Forest face relegation depending on results in next few weeks.
That critical clash at opposite ends of the table will take place at the City Ground on Saturday 20 May, in a 5:30pm kick-off.
Manchester City meanwhile face Chelsea at 4pm on Sunday 21 May at the Etihad Stadium, in a game which could be must-win for the reigning champions if they’re to defend their title against an out-of form Chelsea under Frank Lampard – who had played for both clubs as a player.
West Ham will host Leeds United at London Stadium at 1:30pm on 21 May in a key clash in the battle for survival, live on Sky Sports.
BT will televise Tottenham’s final home game of the season as Spurs host Brentford in a London derby at 12:30pm on Saturday 20 May.
