Bayern Munich welcome Manchester City to Allianz Arena in second leg of their 2022-23 UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final.
Having suffered a 3-0 first leg loss, Bayern must score at least four goals to stand any chance of reaching the semi-finals.
Man City meanwhile know that victory or a draw would see them advance, as would a defeat if lose by two goals at maximum.

When is Kick-Off?
Bayern Munich host Manchester City at Allianz Arena, Munich, in a 9pm CET (8pm UK Time) kick-off on Wednesday 19 April, live on BT Sport in UK.
Stat Attack
- Bayern Munich have won three of seven previous Champions League meetings against Man City (W3, L4).
- Man City have won just one of three previous visits to Bayern Munich (W1, L2), of which those three visits all came during the Group Stage phrase of the competition.
- City have scored three goals in three of their last four meetings against Bayern (W3, L1), except for 1-0 away loss in September 2014.
- Bayern have scored 11 goals at home without conceding in this season’s Champions League (W4), of which three of their four wins were by 2-0 result.
- Man City have won one of their four away matches in this season’s Champions League (W1, D3), which saw them beat Sevilla 4-0 before draws against Copenhagen, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.
Prediction
Needing three goals in order to at least force extra-time, Bayern have to take heart from their strong home form in this competition this season without conceding and try to score first, otherwise there will be no road back if they concede first.
Man City meanwhile can afford to relax but given that they’re still in the hunter position in the Premier League title race, I can’t see them letting up here for momentum’s sake especially heading into two huge domestic matches within the next week.
Pep Guardiola though should be worried about how much his Cityzens lifted their foot off the gas in the second-half of their win over Leicester, which denied themselves another clean sheet so I do expect them to stay fully on the pedal throughout given Bayern’s superior threat.
In fact, I would be surprised if Man City lose this game given their current form but Bayern surely can’t afford to exit on a low note, so I am going for a score draw.
Prediction: Bayern Munich 1-1 Manchester City
Result: Bayern Munich 1-1 Manchester City (Manchester City win 4-1 on aggregate!!)
