Manchester United have been drawn at home to Brighton & Hove Albion in the semi-finals of 2022-23 Women’s FA Cup.

Utd comfortably overcame Lewes in the Quarter-Finals with a 3-1 victory at The Dripping Pan to secure their first semi-final appearance in this competition, which also means that Marc Skinner’s Red Devils are still in contention for a domestic double this season.

Man Utd though will now face Women’s Super League opponents, Brighton, at Leigh Sport Village in the semi-finals on Sunday 16 April, a week before their male counterparts meet at Wembley Stadium, London, at the same stage across in the men’s FA Cup.

Brighton had overcome second-tier Birmingham City to qualify for their first semi-final in the Women’s FA Cup, courtesy of quick-fire first-half goals from Poppy Pattinson and Danielle Carter.

Aston Villa’s reward for eliminating three-time champions, Manchester City with a 2-1 Quarter-Final victory in extra time will be a home tie against Chelsea, as Rachel Daly had scored a 96th minute winner after Rachel Corsie’s opening goal was cancelled out by Deyna Castellanos’ equaliser.

Chelsea meanwhile comfortably dispatched Reading 3-1 at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in the Quarter-Finals, courtesy of goals from Jess Carter, Maren Mjelde and Guro Reiten as Emma Hayes’ Blues booked another all WSL tie after previously eliminating Liverpool and Arsenal this season.

Both ties will be played on Sunday 16 April and televised live across BBC with broadcast details to be announced in due course.
