Man City and Chelsea Discover Quarter-Final and Semi-Final Paths In Champions League

Manchester City and Chelsea have discovered their paths towards a potential Final in this season’s Champions League, following Quarter and Semi-Finals draws.

Pep Guardiola’s Citizens face a reunion with his former team, Bayern Munich, who he had managed between 2013-16, with both teams meeting in the Quarter-Finals with first leg at Etihad Stadium, Manchester, followed by the return leg at Allianz Arena, Munich.

Should Man City win that tie then they could face an all-English semi-final against Chelsea if Graham Potter’s Blues can stun Real Madrid in their Quarte-Final tie, otherwise City will take on the reigning champions in the last four.

City would have home advantage in the second leg if they reach the semi-finals, with Real Madrid or Chelsea playing the first leg at home at the Santiago Bernabeu or Stamford Bridge respectively depending upon which of those two advance to the semi-finals.

AC Milan and Napoli will meet in an all-Italian Quarter-Final, with the winner potentially facing another all-Italian contest in the semi-finals, should Inter Milan see off Portugal’s Benfica in the other Quarter-Final.

The winner of AC Milan’s tie against Napoli would host Inter Milan or Benfica in the first leg of their semi-final, meaning that if it’s a Milan derby then both legs of the semi-final would be played at San Siro, Milan.

Quarter-Final ties will be played over two legs across 11-12 & 18-19 April, before the semi-finals take place across 9-10 and 16-17 May – also taking place across two legs.

This season’s Champions League Final will take place on 10 June at Ataturk Olympic Stadium, Istanbul, Turkey.
