BBC and ITV have confirmed their broadcast picks for the Quarter-Finals of 2022-23 FA Cup.
ITV who have first pick in this round have opted for Manchester United’s all Premier League tie against Fulham at Old Trafford, with the fixture set to be broadcast on ITV1 on Sunday 19 March with a 4:30pm GMT kick-off.
Utd qualified for this stage by coming from behind to defeat West Ham 3-1 in the Fifth Round, whilst Fulham dispatched Leeds United 2-0 at Craven Cottage with goals from Joao Palhinha and Manor Solomon.
Earlier that day, ITV1 will air an all-Championship clash between Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers at Bramall Lane, with kick-off set for 12pm as the two second-tier contenders look to secure a semi-final spot at Wembley after stunning Tottenham and Leicester in the Fifth Round.
BBC meanwhile had second and third picks in this round and will air Vincent Kompany’s return to the Etihad Stadium on BBC One at 5:45pm on Saturday 18 March, as Kompany looks to guide Burnley to a shock cupset against his former club as a player – Manchester City.
That particular tie though will face tough sporting opposition as it faces the Six Nations finale across on ITV as Ireland play England in what could be a title decider.
BBC’s second pick (third pick overall) sees League Two’s Grimby Town dream of causing another cupset and knocking out a higher-division team for the sixth consecutive round, as the Mariners visit Brighton & Hove Albion at 2:15pm on BBC One on Sunday 19 March.
All four Quarter-Final winners will advance to the semi-finals which will be played at Wembley Stadium across weekend of 22-23 April.
