Vincent Kompany’s Burnley will face his former team, Manchester City in a stand-out tie of Quarter-Final draw in 2022-23 FA Cup.
Kompany spent 11 years at Man City as a player in which he helped the team to two FA Cup titles amongst 12 overall titles during his time at the club.
The Belgian though will now take his Championship leading team, Burnley to the Etihad Stadium in a huge Quarter-Final tie, after the Clarets scraped past Fleetwood in the Fifth Round.
Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United meanwhile will face Fulham at Old Trafford on 19 March in another all Premier League clash for the Red Devils, who have already beaten fellow top-flight opponents – Everton and West Ham plus second-tier Reading to reach this stage.
For Ten Hag, this competition represents one of two remaining domestic competitions as he looks to achieve a domestic treble in his first season at the club, having already won the Carabao Cup last weekend.
Brighton’s reward for scraping past Stoke City will be a home tie against League Two’s Grimsby Town, after the Mariners stunned Southampton in the Fifth Round to secure their first Quarter-Final appearance since 1938-39 season.
One EFL club meanwhile will certainly be in the semi-finals after Sheffield United were drawn at home to Championship rivals, Blackburn Rovers, who coincidentally are their next league opponents albeit away at Ewood Park on 4 March.
Ties will be played across the weekend of 17-19 March with the four winners advancing to the semi-finals, which will take place across 22-23 April at Wembley Stadium, London.
