Liverpool look to ignite their Premier League top-four challenge as Jurgen Klopp’s Reds host Wolves at Anfield.
Victory could move Liverpool up to sixth in the table on goal difference fom Fulham, whilst Wolves can go 13th with a win.

Darwin Nunez could return for Liverpool after he missed their goalless draw at Crystal Palace with a shoulder injury.

When is Kick-Off?
Liverpool host Wolves at Anfield on Wednesday 1 March in a 8pm GMT kick-off, with this fixture rearranged from early September after the original tie was postponed as mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Stat Attack
- Liverpool are unbeaten in 11 their last 12 league meetings against Wolves (W11, L1).
- Wolves have won just one of their last eight league visits to Anfield (W1, L7).
- Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has scored in each of his last two appearances at home to Wolves (W2).
- Liverpool have kept clean sheets in four of their last five league matches (W2, D2, L1), only conceding in a 3-0 loss at Wolves in early February.
- Wolves have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 11 matches in all competitions (W2, D5, L4).
Prediction
After last week’s horrific defensive collapse against Real Madrid in the Champions League, Liverpool will be relieved with a clean sheet at Palace where their defence were again rather vulnerable, but saved by Alisson’s excellent saves amidst poor attacking end product at the opposite end.
Wolves however also have their own end product issues because they looked energetic on the attack at Fulham, yet poor finishing and and a momentary drop of defensive marking cost them a decent win so I expect them to come out fighting.
Liverpool though will have memories of January’s 2-2 draw in the FA Cup here at Anfield and if Wolves play like they did at Fulham but better, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a similar result because the Reds’ defence do seem there for the taking once under intense pressure.
Prediction: Liverpool 1-1 Wolves
Result: Liverpool 2-0 Wolves
