Joachim Andersen could return for Crystal Palace after completing his recovery from a calf injury, which has kept him out of their last three matches.

Joel Ward (muscle) and James McArthur (groin) are doubts but Wilfried Zaha (hamstring) and Nathan Ferguson (foot) remain absent.

Brighton could welcome Alexis Mac Allister back into contention after he missed their win against Bournemouth through suspension.

Evan Ferguson (knee) and Adam Lallana (muscle) are doubts but Levi Colwill (muscle) and Jakob Moder (knee) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Palace host Brighton at Selhurst Park on Saturday 11 February at 3pm GMT, albeit untelevised in UK.

Stat Attack

  • Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last six league meetings against Brighton (W2, D4).
  • Brighton have won just one of their last five visits to Selhurst Park (W1, D3, L1).
  • Four of Palace’s last six meetings against Brighton have ended in 1-1 draw.
  • Palace have claimed just two points from three league matches at home in 2023 (D2, L1).
  • Brighton have scored at least one goal in each of their last 10 league matches (W6, D1, L3).

Prediction

Currently winless in six matches across all competitions in 2023, Palace really need to do something to change their luck because they were purely outclassed at Manchester United, yet fair play for responding t Utd’s cockiness by denying them a clean sheet.

Now they need to take heart from that late improvement and look to play their best football, albeit with better defending than in recent weeks.

Brighton however are flying with just one defeat (excluding penalties) since returning from the World Cup break, yet lacked their strong end product last weekend against Bournemouth without Mac Allister and Ferguson’s presence amidst their dominant attacking threat.

Now if the Seagulls turn up and continue to play their dominant attacking intensity, I expect Palace to drop deep defensively but I just can’t see Brighton losing here such is their form despite not often faring well in recent seasons at Selhurst Park.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-1 Brighton

Result: Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton
