Sky Sports have announced nine Sky Bet Championship matches selected for live broadcast in September 2022.
Having already confirmed 16 matches selected for broadcast between this weekend and end of August, Sky will kick off September’s Sky Bet Championship action with Burnley’s visit to West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Friday 2 September at 8pm BST.
Reading will then host Stoke in a lunchtime kick-off on Sunday 4 September, before Middlesbrough face Sunderland at Riverside Stadium on 5 September in a blockbuster Monday Night Football showdown in the Tees-Wear derby.
Only one match from matchweek nine across 9-11 September has been selected for live broadcast, as Burnley host Norwich at Turf Moor in Friday Night Football on 9 September, in which the two relegated teams look to strengthen their promotion bids.
Sky will then air three matches from the third midweek round of the season between 13-14 September, with Burnley’s visit to Preston broadcast on 13 September whilst West Brom and Reading host Birmingham City plus Sunderland respectively the following evening.
Saturday 17 September sees two matches chosen for broadcast ahead of the international break, as Swansea host Hull at 12:30pm in the lunchtime kick-off ahead of Boro’s clash against Rotherham in Saturday Night Football at 7:45pm that evening.
The Championship will thereafter take a fortnight’s break to make room for the final two rounds of 2022-23 UEFA Nations League action, returning on the weekend of 1 October with broadcast selection for October to be announced by Friday 26 August at latest.
