Leicester City welcome Norwich City to the King Power Stadium in a rearranged Premier League encounter.
Victory would see Leicester improve to 10th in the table if Aston Villa fail to win on Tuesday evening, whereas Norwich can move off the foot of the table with a win if Watford lose elsewhere.
Team News
James Justin could return for Leicester after he missed Sunday’s defeat against Everton with a shoulder injury.
James Maddison (hamstring) and Ricardo Pereira (knock) are doubts but Ryan Bertrand and Wilfred Ndidi (both knee) remain absent.
Norwich will be without Mathias Normann as he recovers from a thigh injury which forced him to miss Sunday’s defeat against West Ham.
Kenny McLean (toe), Josh Sargent (ankle), Ozan Kabak (hamstring), Christoph Zimmerman (groin), Andrew Omobamidele (back) and Adam Idah (knee) remain ruled out.
Stat Attack
- Leicester have lost just one of their last five league meetings against Norwich (W3, D1, L1).
- Norwich have failed to win in three previous Premier League visits to Leicester (D1, L2), with both defeats coming by 1-0 results.
- Two of Leicester’s last three wins in this fixture have been by 2-1 results in October 2015 and August 2021 respectively.
- Four of Ademola Lookman’s eight goals for Leicester this season have been scored at the King Power Stadium.
- Norwich have claimed just four points from their eight league matches played away from Carrow Road in 2022 (W1, D1, L6).
Prediction
Leicester certainly should be disappointed to have not gotten at least one point out of Sunday’s physically entertaining clash against Everton, particularly because they were excellent on the attack consistently yet scrappy defending and poor marking ultimately cost them in the first half.
Norwich meanwhile were a defensive mess throughout the first half of their defeat against West Ham but amidst improvement in the second-half, their attack just lacked much quality so a huge reaction is needed here if they’re to go down with momentum in their favour for next season.
This clash though should be an one-sided result if Leicester turn up with another energetic attacking performance and Dean Smith’s Canaries aren’t at the races.
Prediction: Leicester 2-0 Norwich
Result: Leicester 3-0 Norwich
