QPR welcome Peterborough United to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in a crunch Sky Bet Championship clash.
Victory would see QPR climb to fifth in the table, whereas Peterborough can climb off the foot of the table with a win.
Team News
David Marshall is a doubt for QPR after suffering a hamstring injury in Wednesday’s loss at Nottingham Forest, with Kieren Westwood signed as a free agent replacement and likely to start in goal.
Chris Willock (hamstring) is a doubt but Lyndon Dykes (hamstring), Jordan Archer (shoulder) and Seny Dieng (thigh) are ruled out.
Peterborough will be without Ricky-Jade Jones after the striker suffered a shoulder injury in their midweek loss to Swansea.
Nathan Thompson, Joel Randall (both muscle) and Dan Butler (ankle) remain absent.
Stat Attack
- QPR have won just one of their last seven meetings against Peterborough in all competitions (W1, D3, L3).
- Peterborough have never won away at QPR across 13 previous visits in all competitions (D6, L7).
- Mark Warburton’s Hoops have conceded twice in two meetings against Peterborough in all competitions this season.
- QPR haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last four home matches (W2, D2), during which they scored six goals and conceded six goals.
- Peterborough are yet to keep a clean sheet away from Weston Homes Stadium all season.
Prediction
Given how tight the fight for a play-off spot is heading into the international break with teams having various games in hand on each other, QPR definitely need a huge reaction here to Wednesday’s late defeat after managing to match Forest for most of the match.
Peterborough meanwhile can’t keep a clean sheet like their life depended on it which is ironic when their Championship status depends on clean sheets and wins, especially as they now come into this game 10 points from safety.
Grant McCann’s Posh though need to play like they did in the second-half of Wednesday’s defeat against Swansea and really take the fight to QPR, because if the hosts are allowed to freely dictate this match then I can see just one result coming.
Prediction: QPR 2-0 Peterborough
Result: QPR 1-3 Peterborough
