2021-22 Premier League: Week 29 – Arsenal vs Leicester

Arsenal welcome Leicester City to Emirates Stadium in a huge Super Sunday clash as Mikel Arteta’s Gunners chase a top-four finish.

Victory would see Arsenal improve to fourth whereas Leicester can climb to tenth with a win if Southampton fail to win elsewhere.

Prediction

With three games in hand, Arsenal have fourth place in their own hands and should now look to build on an excellent display against Watford last weekend, where they were clinical up front yet their defence did struggle at times guarding the flanks which Leicester will look to target.

Leicester meanwhile are building a positive run of form with three clean sheets in all competitions, with an improved defensive effort particularly proving crucial on top of clinical finishing in Thursday’s Europa Conference League win over Rennes.

I however can’t see Leicester keeping a clean sheet here given Arsenal’s attacking quality and their poor away form in this fixture, unless they can keep it tight like they did here last season and scrape a win which looks a tough ask given the Gunners’ recent form.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Leicester

Result: Arsenal 2-0 Leicester
