BBC Select Middlesbrough and Southampton Quarter-Final Ties in 2021-22 FA Cup

BBC have selected Middlesbrough and Southampton’s Quarter-Final ties for live broadcast in 2021-22 FA Cup.

Having knocked out Mansfield Town, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the last three rounds, Middlesbrough will host Chelsea live on BBC One at Riverside Stadium on Saturday 19 March in a 5:15pm GMT kick-off.

Southampton’s all Premier League tie against Manchester City will also air on BBC One with the clash at St Mary’s Stadium set for a 3pm kick-off on Sunday 20 March.

ITV meanwhile have opted for a split Super Sunday double-headed clash on 20 March due to Six Nations Rugby coverage on 19 March, starting with Crystal Palace’s home tie against Everton at Selhurst Park, which gets underway in a 12:30pm kick-off in South London.

Their second Quarter-Final tie will see Liverpool visit the winner of Nottingham Forest’s Fifth Round tie against Huddersfield, which will be a primetime match with kick-off scheduled for 6pm.

All four winners of these Quarter-Final ties will earn £360,000 as well as place at Wembley Stadium in the Semi-Finals, which will be held across the weekend of 16/17 April 2022.
