2021-22 Sky Bet Championship: Week 31 – Tuesday

Millwall welcome QPR to The Den in a rearranged London derby clash in the Sky Bet Championship.

Victory would see Millwall climb above Blackpool into 14th, whereas a win would lift QPR up to third.

Millwall have no fresh injury concerns to report as Daniel Ballard potentially returns after two months out with a knee injury.

QPR could welcome Chris Willock back into the squad after he missed Saturday’s loss at Barnsley after suffering a knock.

Jordan Archer (leg) and Sam McCallum (hamstring) remain absent.

Prediction

Despite enduring inconsistent form in the last two months, Millwall’s home form has been solid this season which proved the difference with two clinical goals in Saturday’s win against Cardiff despite being largely outplayed in a competitive clash.

QPR meanwhile were unusually off-colour in Saturday’s loss at Barnsley but they were involved in a physical battle against Middlesbrough last week, which is likely to have affected their energy levels at Oakwell so hopefully they will be back to their best here.

In fact, this is perhaps a must-win for the visitors so I expect Millwall to come out as underdogs and take the fight to QPR, who have to be clinical and tighter otherwise the play-offs will become their main priority rather than automatic promotion.

I however wouldn’t be surprised if Millwall find a way to cause more issues for QPR given that this is a London derby, whilst the first goal will be key because if the hosts score then a draw would be a best bet.

Prediction: Millwall 1-1 QPR

Result: Millwall 2-0 QPR
