Fulham remain top of the Sky Bet Championship despite the top two teams dropping points in the latest round of action.

Fulham remain top of the table but saw their four-match winning run ended as Josh Bowler cancelled out Aleksandr Mitrovic’s opener to earn Blackpool a comeback 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage.

Events at Craven Cottage however were sadly marred by the death of Fulham fan – Paul Parish, who had suffered a cardiac arrest during the first-half which led to a near 45 minute suspension of play.

Blackburn clung onto second after scrapping to a goalless draw away at Luton Town in their second consecutive away game without a goal.

Philip Billing’s 12th minute header from Dominic Solanke’s cross saw Bournemouth scrape a 1-0 away win at rock-bottom Barnsley, despite Gary Cahill’s red card in the second half for a foul on Devante Cole.

Barnsley meanwhile suffered a further defeat in midweek as Uche Ikpeazu scored on debut to fire Cardiff to a 1-0 win in a rearranged clash at Oakwell.

Lyndon Dykes’ brace saw fourth-placed QPR move to within two points of automatic promotion after thrashing Reading 4-0 at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Huddersfield climbed to fifth with four points from two home matches after Josh Koroma’s opener was cancelled out in a 1-1 draw against Stoke, before goals from Carel Eiting and Jordan Rhodes sealed a 2-0 midweek win over ten-man Derby.

Wayne Rooney’s Rams meanwhile continue to sit second-bottom after late goals from Luke Plange and Krystian Bielik rescued Derby a 2-2 draw at home to Birmingham City on Sunday.

West Brom consequently slipped to sixth after losing 2-0 at Millwall as Benik Afobe provided a goal and assist for the hosts, which ultimately saw the Baggies sack Valerien Ismael as manager in midweek.

Elsewhere, Peterborough remain third-bottom following a 2-0 loss at home to Sheffield United as Billy Sharp put the Blades ahead in the 54th minute, before Callum Morton’s 81st minute own goal sealed the away victory.

Jordan Hugill scored on debut as Cardiff beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 at home with Isaak Davies adding their second goal, prior to Keinan Davis’ injury-time consolation goal for the visitors.

Swansea suffered two consecutive defeats in this matchweek after losing 2-0 at Hull on Saturday before Harry Cornick fired in a 72nd minute winner for Luton in a rearranged clash at the Liberty Stadium.

Emil Riis Jakobsen’s brace fired Preston to a comeback 2-2 draw at home to Bristol City on Saturday before the Lilywhites could only draw 0-0 at Preston in a rearranged midweek clash.

Finally, Andraz Sporar fired in a 58th minute winner as Middlesbrough edged out Coventry to keep their play-off dreams alive.
