Felipe Drugovich has announced he will be reuniting with MP Motorsport for 2022 Formula Two season.

Drugovich previously drove for MP Motorsport in his rookie F2 campaign in 2020 during which he picked up three wins and one podium en route to ninth in the championship, before enjoying a solid move to UNI-Virtuosi where he finished eighth in the standings with four podiums.

The Brazilian though is “really delighted” to be able to now return to the Dutch outfit as he seeks a return to winning ways and a title challenge.

Reflecting on his time at MP Motorsport and what he wants to achieve on his return, Drugovich said; “I have such wonderful memories of my debut season with them in 2020, starting off with a win in my very first F2 weekend and collecting two more victories after that.

“The team and I are eager to repeat that form in 2022, and then some more!”

Before joining F2, Drugovich previously drove in F3 for Carlin in 2019 after winning 2018 Spanish F4 and 2017-18 MRF titles, having spent 2016 & 17 seasons in ADAC F4 where he finished third in the latter season.

MP Motorsport Team Principal, Sander Dorsman has welcomed Drugovich back to his “old nest” with open arms and is “happy” to have the Brazilian back after forming a strong partnership in 2020 and is “convinced we can do it all over again or even improve on our 2020 form.”

Drugovich will partner Clement Novalak who participated in the last two rounds of the season after replacing Lirim Zendeli for the final two rounds, following budget issues for the German.

Speaking about the excitement of seeing Drugovich and Novalak together in the 2021 post-season test from 16-18 December, Dorsman is “pleased” to be able to ensure the team “can fully focus on the season ahead, and prepare ourselves as best we can.”
