Sky Sports have announced eight Sky Bet Championship matches for live television broadcast in January.

Sky last month confirmed two matches for New Year weekend as Sheffield United host Middlesbrough on New Year’s Day, with Swansea then hosting Fulham on Bank Holiday Monday 3 January 2022.

Following those matches, the Championship will take a fortnight’s break to make way for the Third Round of 2021-22 FA Cup before returning on Saturday 15 January as Luton host Bournemouth at Kenilworth Road in a 12:30pm GMT kick-off.

Hull will then host Stoke 23-and-a-half hours later on Sunday 16 January at the KCOM Stadium in a noon kick-off.

Sky will also screen two Midlands derbies involving Derby County as Wayne Rooney’s Rams visit Nottingham Forest on Saturday 22 January at 12:30pm, followed by a home clash against Birmingham City on Sunday 30 January at 1:30pm in a Super Sunday double-header.

The second part of that double-header sees Forest visit Cardiff City in the second-tier’s final match of the month.

Sky will also televise Blackburn’s clash against Middlesbrough at Ewood Park on Monday 24 January at 7:45pm, as Tony Mowbray’s Rovers face his former team as both teams battle for a play-off place.

Huddersfield will host Stoke City in Friday Night Football on Friday 28 January as both teams continue their fight for a play-off spot, with kick-off confirmed for 7:45pm.

Peterborough’s home clash against Sheffield United at London Road is set for live broadcast on Saturday 29 January, in a 5:30pm kick-off which forms part of four matches between 28-30 January 2022 due to the Premier League taking a winter break due to international football for non European countries.
