Stockton Town have announced two extra pre-season friendlies against Whitley Bay and Boro Rangers as Michael Dunwell’s Anchors prepare for their first season in Northern Premier League East Division.
Stockton will now kick off their 2021-22 pre-season with a home friendly against Whitley Bay on Saturday 3 July 2021 with a 3pm BST kick-off, who they have met on seven previous occasions with the Anchors avoiding defeat in five of those seven meetings with four wins and one draw plus two defeats.
Boro Rangers will then visit Bishopton Road West on Wednesday 7 July after Newton Aycliffe withdrew from their initially planned friendly against Stockton on that date, although the fixture could move if England find themselves playing in the opening semi-final of Euro 2020 that evening.
This fixture will mark the first time that Stockton and Boro Rangers have met in all competitions, with Boro Rangers currently playing in the North Riding Football League against Teesside opposition like Redcar Newmarket and Thirsk Falcons.
These two fixture announcements now means that Michael Dunwell’s Anchors now face seven friendlies in 20 days next month, with home games against Guisborough Town, Billingham Synthonia and Whitby Town already confirmed alongside trips to South Shields and Morpeth Town.
The club have also confirmed that matchday information for all matches alongside further fixtures will be unveiled in due course.
