2020-21 Premier League: Week 37 – Manchester United vs Fulham

Manchester United welcome Fulham to Old Trafford in a crucial Premier League clash as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils look to secure second place.

Victory would see Man Utd guarantee a second placed finish, whereas Fulham can take a huge step towards finalising a 18th placed finish with a win.

Man Utd have no fresh injury concerns to report after Thursday’s 4-2 home loss to Liverpool.

Anthony Martial, Phil Jones (both knee), Daniel James (unspecified) and Harry Maguire (ankle) remain ruled out.

Fulham have no fresh injury concerns to report after losing 3-1 at Southampton on Saturday.

Antonee Robinson (ankle), Tom Cairney and Terence Kongolo (both knee) remain absent.

Stat Attack

Prediction

Having endured three games in five days last week and scored six goals across those matches, Man Utd will be pleased with their attacking performance yet they have to improve defensively after a disappointing effort against Liverpool on Thursday.

Fulham meanwhile must show more passion in attack because they rarely looked capable of threatening Southampton on Saturday afternoon after a bright start, whilst their defending of the flanks was quite poor at times as the Saints exposed efficiently.

On that note, I genuinely can’t see Fulham offering much here at one of their bogey grounds because Man Utd should have enough quality available to clinch a routine win and wrap up second place.

Prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Fulham

Result: Manchester United 1-1 Fulham
