2020-21 Premier League: Week 36 – Tottenham vs Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur welcome Wolves to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the second of this Super Sunday’s quadruple header.

Should West Ham lose on Saturday evening, victory would see Tottenham climb to sixth otherwise their faint hopes of a top four finish will be over.

Wolves meanwhile can consolidate 12th position with a win.

Tottenham have no fresh injury concerns to report as Ben Davies remains ruled out with a calf injury, with the Welsh defender unlikely to return for any of their final three games of this season.

Wolves could welcome Willy Boly back into contention after resting him in last weekend’s comeback win over Brighton.

Fernando Marcal (groin) and Owen Otasowie (knock) could also feature if deemed fully fit, but Jonny, Pedro Neto (both knee) and Raul Jimenez (head) are ruled out.

Prediction

Having thrashed Sheffield United in their last home game a fortnight ago, Tottenham surprisingly put in a poor performance at Leeds last weekend with their defence in particularly looking shaky with poor man marking for all three conceded goals.

Wolves were no better in the first half of their comeback home win over Brighton but they somehow found a spark in the second half, which ultimately proved the difference even if their end product at times was still poor.

Now if both teams deliver a similar performance here, I would say a 1-1 draw was likely but Wolves seem to enjoy playing away at Spurs under Nuno Espirito Santo, so I am going for a surprise away win.

Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Wolves

Result: Tottenham 2-0 Wolves
