Premier League have confirmed broadcast details for matchweek 36 of 2020-21 season along with postponed matches.
Southampton’s postponed clash against Crystal Palace which was originally scheduled to take place on weekend of 17 April but was postponed due to the Saints’ FA Cup semi-final, has been rescheduled for Tuesday 11 May live on Sky Sports at 8pm BST.
The following evening of Wednesday 12 May sees Manchester United take on Leicester at Old Trafford in a 6pm kick-off live on BT Sport, whilst Sky Sports will air Chelsea’s London derby clash against Arsenal in a 8:15pm kick off.
Aston Villa’s home clash against Everton at Villa Park has finally been rescheduled for Thursday 13 May live on Sky Sports with a 8pm kick-off, having been postponed back in January after a Coronavirus outbreak amongst the Villains.
Sky Sports will broadcast Manchester City’s trip to Newcastle on Friday 14 May (8pm BST), before airing Southampton and Brighton’s respective home clashes against Fulham and West Ham on 15 May at 3pm and 8pm.
BT will meanwhile air Leeds’ trip to Burnley in the lunchtime kick-off on 15 May with the match getting underway from 12:30pm BST.
Sky Sports will air a triple-headed Super Sunday on 16 May, kicking off with Crystal Palace’s clash against Villa at (12pm BST) ahead of Wolves’ visit to Tottenham (2:05pm BST) and West Brom’s clash against Liverpool (4:30pm BST).
BT will bring the Matchweek 36 round of fixtures to a conclusion with Sunday Night Football from Goodison Park, as already relegated Sheffield United look to cause a surprise result at top four chasing Everton in a 7:00pm BST kick off.
The decision to spread matchweek 36 out across six days comes after Premier League bosses decided to move the penultimate matchweek of this season to the midweek of 18/19 May so fans of all clubs can attend one home game this season.
This unusual movement of the penultimate round of games comes following the expectation that the UK Government will approve the next step in lifting restrictions on 17 May, which includes allowing fans back into sport venues.
