Leeds United welcome Liverpool to Elland Road in a tasty Monday Night Football clash.

Victory will see Leeds climb to ninth, whereas Liverpool can go fourth with a win until Chelsea play on Tuesday evening.

Liam Cooper begins the first of a three match ban after being red carded in last weekend’s win at Manchester City.

Rodrigo (muscle) is a doubt as Adam Forshaw (hip) and Raphinha (knock) face late fitness tests.

Liverpool could welcome Curtis Jones back from a muscle injury which saw him miss their last two games.

Caoimhin Kelleher (abdominal), Joel Matip (ankle), Joe Gomez, Virgil Van Dijk (both knee), Jordan Henderson (adductor) and Divock Origi (muscle) are ruled out.

Prediction

Leeds will be buoyed coming into this game after taking the game to Man City last weekend and punishing open space defending on the counter, even despite going down to ten men so will certainly fancy their chances here if Liverpool are off par.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds however looked more like their top attacking selves again after coming from behind to clinically defeat Aston Villa, before holding Real Madrid to a goalless draw in their midweek Champions League exit despite dominating.

Now if both teams can bring the same quality that we saw last week then this could well be a cracker, although Leeds’ defence isn’t the most tightest which is where Liverpool could nick this if can keep their play clinically controlled but clean.

Prediction: Leeds 1-2 Liverpool

Result: Leeds 1-1 Liverpool
