2020-21 UEFA Europa League Quarter Finals: Second Leg – Manchester United vs Granada

Manchester United welcome Granada to Old Trafford in the second leg of their Quarter-Final tie in 2020-21 UEFA Europa League.

Utd enter this match with a 2-0 lead from the first leg meaning that a victory or draw would see them through, although defeat would too if they only lose by one goal.

Granada simply need to win and must score at least three goals if they’re to advance, even if comes down to away goals rule.

Daniel James is a doubt for Man Utd after an unspecified injury kept him out of Sunday’s away win at Tottenham Hotspur.

Eric Bailly (Coronavirus), Anthony Martial and Phil Jones (both knee) remain ruled out, whilst Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay are all suspended after being booked in the first leg.

Granada will be without Domingos Duarte after the defender suffered a knee injury in the first leg.

Neyder Lozano (skull) and Luis Milla (hamstring) remain absent.

Prediction

With a two goal advantage after the first leg, Man Utd can afford to relax slightly because all the pressure will be on Granada and if they can soak up pressure like they did at Spurs and are clinical up front, they should have enough for another morale boosting victory.

Granada meanwhile lacked proper threat up front in the first leg with their 4-3-3 formation, which is a worry because they need to come here and deliver a ruthless pressing display if are to find at least two goals to force extra time.

I however just don’t see that happening because Man Utd just looks too strong across the pitch, even if they have kept just two clean sheets in their last six home games across all competitions.

Prediction: Manchester United 2-1 Granada

Result: Manchester United 2-0 Granada (Man Utd win 4-0 on aggregate!!)
