Rotherham United welcome Cardiff City to the New York Stadium in a huge rearranged clash near the foot of the Sky Bet Championship table.
Victory will send Rotherham above Coventry and Nottingham Forest into 18th in the table, whereas Cardiff can climb to 11th with a win.
Team News
Jamie Lindsay is a doubt for Rotherham after suffering a hamstring injury during their away win at Preston on Saturday
Kieran Sadlier (ankle) could return after featuring in warm-up ahead of the Millers’ win on Saturday.
Chiedozie Ogbene remains absent with a knee injury.
Cardiff look set to be without goalkeeper, Alex Smithies after he was substituted in Saturday’s win at Bristol City due to illness.
Jonny Williams (knock) is also doubtful for this match.
Stat Attack
- Rotherham have taken just four points from their last five meetings against Cardiff (W1, D1, L3).
- Cardiff are unbeaten in four of their last five trips to Rotherham (W2, D2, L1).
- Millers have scored in seven of their last eight home league games.
Prediction
Rotherham are certainly not giving up without a fight because they seem to finally be clicking as an unit, as evidenced by their comfortable performance at Preston on Saturday with Viktor Johansson in particular proving difficult to beat in goal.
Cardiff however are beginning to reawaken from their recent defensive slump and managed to keep a clean sheet on Saturday for the first time in two months in a 2-0 win at Bristol City, so will certainly be up for a fight here despite squad rotation.
This though is a huge chance for Rotherham to put some space between themselves and the relegation zone, especially given their goal scoring habits of recent home games yet Cardiff have gone well here so I am going for a score draw.
Prediction: Rotherham 1-1 Cardiff
Result: Rotherham 1-2 Cardiff
